I am at peace, content and satisfied as I cross an item off of my bucket list. I got my hug!
I beg any of you who haven’t experienced Adam LIVE yet, to do whatever you need to do to get there. This was my 5th time and it just keeps getting better and betterer.
There is no look of concentration on Adam’s face as he performs. The expression is pure love and joy, You can feel it as you breathe the same air. He literally glows and performs with every inch of his body, mind and soul..
The 3 opening acts
Neon Hitch is a train wreck. Kevin Rudolph had some energy but I think sang the same song 3 times, and The Cab came without a band so it was 2 dudes in jeans, tees and beanies doing some acoustic sitting on stools. If this sells, Phil Phil has no worries. That’s enough negativity for one OP. Besides, maybe I’m just spoiled. But really, the only thing up to this point that excited the crowd was when radio DJs threw tee shirts into the crowd. LOL
And then he appears.
Everyone stands.
Feet stomp and hands clap to TRESPASSING.
He also sang KICKIN’ IN, NAKED LOVE, BROKEN ENGLISH, NEVER CLOSE OUR EYES, SHADY, a slowed down WHATAYA WANT FROM ME, CHOKEHOLD and CUCKOO. What is cool is that songs that I thought were OK on the CD, I now LOVE.
NAKED LOVE is one of those for me. He got the audience involved and our section won for being the loudest. I’m sure it’s because I was in it.
I think I shed a tear as I saw the back of his head as he walked off the stage, We dashed out and walked around the building to wait for Adam as I figured he owed all the fans in Wilkes-Barre because he quickly ducked into the bus with a hoodie over his head when he opened the Glam Nation Tour here. We waited a long time but I had fun meeting people who recognized me. When he emerged from the building I gasped. I was within a few feet. I had my Freak Flags ready to sign. My intention was to have him sign the one I was wearing and then give him the other one. But he was just grabbing things and signing as everyone is screaming for him. So he signed my one, then the other. I seemed to get pushed closer to him and just stayed in my spot. He grabbed the one Freak Flag and signed it again and I figured I would “GO FOR IT” and ask for a hug. And I got it. And he was wearing Tokyo Milk’s “Excess”, which I was wearing also. Our smells became one as we embraced. His arms are long and he squeezes just tight enough for you to feel his love.
Now that it’s morning, I AIN’T BROKEN BUT I NEED A FIX. It’s on to Washington DC. I can’t get the smile off of my face.
This must be what it feels like to be CUCKOO. Or maybe I actually am. Nope, I’m sure of it.
