Today, May 8th, is officially “Adam Lambert Day”, at least in San Diego.
For the past few months I’ve been getting psychic messages over the car radio in the form of songs. During my half-hour commute I will hear a Madonna song, an Elton John song, something by Prince or Michael Jackson, Queen, and then a song that Adam sang at some point. Usually I laugh at some of the obscure songs that come on to get my attention. But the message as I interpret it is that Adam should be doing pop and rock and fronting Queen all at the same time.
I write these songs down on a tablet in the dark (5AM), speeding up a winding road, with a finger or two if I can spare them, on the steering wheel. Then when I get home I’m supposed to jot them down in my journal. But I never seem to have the time. So yesterday I decided I got the message, “Trespassing” will be out any day now, so I don’t need to write these down any more.
When I got home from work I saw a message from my “Webstress” that all of the songs on “Trespassing” were available to listen to.
SO LISTEN I DID
Now, I am on record as saying that the first single
“Better Than I Know Myself” was NOT THE ADAM STORM.
I was sure the next single would be THE ADAM STORM.
“Never Close Our Eyes” was also NOT THE ADAM STORM.
After listening to all of the songs on “TRESPASSING”,
I am declaring the entire album THE ADAM STORM!
And of course there was confirmation from the Universe. As I was listening and flailing along with my Glamily on Adamofficial I half hear the TV in the background:
“Lightning has hit a barn in Adam’s Township in Butler County near Mars.”
A little while later it rains here and then the sun came out. I ran outside to find a
full rainbow.
Then the news showed pictures of the
“Super Moon”
we had a few days ago and said something about a
“Ring of Fire.”
Before I sat down to watch the final 4 contestants on The Voice (rooting for Chris Mann) I assigned a “GLAMBEE” number. (Glambee is a name I came up with since we are all wearing black and yellow to match the “Trespassing” album cover) I watched some of The Voice and was reminded of Adam when
“Crazy”
was sung, followed by
“The Prayer”and “Born To Be Wild.”
I needed to be in bed by 9PM or so. I approached our master bathroom door and there is a bee right in the middle of the doorway. After I smash it with a shoe, I examine it to find that it is indeed
the bee was a yellow and black striped one.
I no sooner relax and sink into my covers when I hear
a huge roar of thunder.
It was the first time I laughed out loud at thunder.
INDEED, IT IS HERE…THE ADAM STORM!
Today I can actually listen to all of “Trespassing” streaming on Adamofficial. My favorites so far are SHADY (The beginning with Nile Rodgers on guitar is perfect for a porn soundtrack)…TRESPASSING…CUCKOO…KICKIN’ IN…BROKEN ENGLISH…RUNNIN’…NAKED LOVE…
