Adam Lambert said that his new music is “Nine Inch Nails meets George Michael”. So I came up with some great lyrics,
“Wake me up before you go go, I’ve got nine inches for ya, Oh no!”
LOL Damn him anyway because now I can’t get “Wake me up before you go go” out of my head head.
EDIT 10/25: As I was watching all of Adam’s performances on American Idol (again…and again), I came across two more references to “Nine Inch Nails”. I was going to put links in but they don’t work. Idol must block this shit. The first was after “Ring of Fire” and Randy said that it was like if “Nine Inch Nails” did a country song. Then after Adam’s epic “Whole Lotta Love”. Kara, after branding him a rock god, said that he was glam rock from the 70s...“Nine Inch Nails”…nobody’s doin’ it…
At least that got “Wake me up before you go go” out of my head. LOL
We’ve come to accept the daily torture of waiting for his new single (November?) and album (My birthday March 2nd?) Adam has been Tweeting little hints here and there and telling us when he’s in the studio and who he’s working with. Does anyone else recall anyone giving a shit about an artist making their records? I thought not. But through the magic of Twitter, Adam has brought us into his world to share this fascinating process of creating music for us. In fact, if it weren’t for Adam, I would not be even remotely interested in Twitter.
But since I started writing this blog, I have grown to love Twitter. Although I really only use it to promote this blog. LOL
Each time I write a new blog post, I seem to get more Twitter followers. The other day I realized I had 97. I know that’s nothing compared to Adam’s 1.2 million, but I have to start somewhere. So I Tweeted that I would honor my 100th follower with a mention in my blog.
CONGRATULATIONS @Carlogie
I was thrilled to see that she is an Adam fan and knows me from Adamofficial.com and not some jackass who is following me in hopes of selling me some knock-off handbags. LOL
I was also worried that my 100th follower may end up being Monte Pittman. I was safe. He is number 101. LOL
Since my last blog was about a “knock-off” album of old Adam and Monte music, I had included Monte Pittman’s statement about it and also included some lyrics from his newest album,
I had Googled, copied and pasted the lyrics into my blog and I tweeted a link to the blog to @AdamLambert (shameless way to get 1.2 million people to potentially read my blog) and to @Monterrific.
Monte read it and sent me a couple of personal messages on Twitter (Yes, I was peeing myself) and I know you have to follow each other in order to do that. So Monte may have been my 100th follower, but since his messages were not on the public Twitter, I couldn’t bestow the honor on him. I hope he’s not too disappointed.
From a psychic perspective, here is the freaky thing: One of Monte’s Tweets simply said “Somewhere can I climb your stair?” I’m like WTF? Then I look over onto my Skype window where I talk to my Webstress, and she has the words, “Can I climb your stair?” Again, I’m like WTF?
My Webstress and Monte are saying the same thing at the EXACT same time and in neither case do I know why.
Webstress later explained that in the lyrics I not so carefully Googled, copied and pasted, one line has “stare” instead of “stair”. Monte was making the same correction. So if you look in my last blog post, I noted the correction.
Well, who needs an English teacher or proofreader when I have a Skype feed and a Twitter message collaborating in psychic cyberspace?
Of course it didn’t end there. I needed to get to bed and I was busy cleaning up the pee (see above) and checking Twitter and Webstress keeps skyping me (Is “skyping” a word? I guess if “Googled” is, then it’s just a matter of time) .
We were discussing how the number 9 has been coming up a lot. She typed in just the number “9”. In the next post she clarifies: “In that Advocate article, Adam mentions nine inch”. (OK, thanks for the clarification. I’m not that good of a psychic)
Then she further clarifies “Nine Inch Nails meets George Michael”.
OK, I don’t get freaked out any more, but I directed her to the screen shot I sent within a second of her last Skype above. There in the screen cap above my tweet is a tweet that says “Nine Inch Nails meets George Michael”. Psychic cyberspace strikes again. LOL
It was all worth losing some sleep over.
